Warranty and returns
What is covered, what is not, and how to make a claim.
Warranty policy
CBR Wheels offers a warranty on all wheels to cover against manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials under normal and intended use. Wheels supplied by CBR Wheels carry a lifetime structural warranty for the life of the product to the original retail purchaser.
Finish warranty
- Painted or clear coated: guaranteed to be free from defects for three (3) years from the date of purchase.
- Chrome finish: covers peeling and separation of the plating surface for two (2) years.
- Polished or raw finish: these oxidise and need regular maintenance; they are not covered under this warranty.
Warranty exclusions (void if)
- Wheels were not purchased from an authorised dealer.
- Damage caused by improper maintenance, transport damage, accidents, abuse or negligence.
- Corrosion resulting from chemicals, harsh climate conditions or road salt.
- Damage from road hazards, off-road activities exceeding load ratings, or improper mounting or tyre sizes.
- Wheels that have been mounted after purchase or damaged during tyre balancing.
- Accessories like wheel nuts, bolts or hub rings are not covered.
Returns
All returns must have prior approval and a return authorisation. Requests must be made within 30 days of receipt, and items returned within 14 days of approval.
- Verification: pictures or video showing the defect and the face of the wheel are required before authorisation.
- Condition: products must be in new condition, with all original accessories and packaging.
- Restocking fee: a restocking fee (typically 25 to 30%) applies to cover inspection, cleaning and administrative costs.
- Shipping: the buyer must cover all shipping and handling costs for returns.
Looking after your wheels
Improper maintenance may void your warranty. Please follow these guidelines:
- Clean wheels by hand regularly to remove brake dust, salt and grime.
- Avoid automatic car washes: automatic and touch-free washes use strong chemicals and brushes that can permanently stain or damage the finish.
- Let them cool: never wash wheels while they are hot. Water on hot wheels can damage the finish and warp brake rotors.
Last updated 14 May 2026. CBR Wheels may change warranty terms and restocking fees in line with manufacturer agreements and changes to the law.
